Thanks to support from an Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Grant, the Local Services Board of Melgund is upgrading the Dyment Recreation Hall kitchen and community garden!

This exciting project enables the community to improve its water systems, alongside modern plumbing, improved drainage, and accessible sink and prep areas. These targeted improvements elevate local food safety and sanitation to meet public health standards, directly expanding capacity for shared meals, youth programs, workshops, and cultural events. Together with ongoing enhancements to the community garden, this project strengthens local recreation programming and ensures the Hall remains a vibrant, welcoming hub for year-round community use.

Milder September air is breathing new life into the garden just as summer youth programs wrap up.
