New infrastructure will expand community gardening, food security and recreation programming at Dyment Recreation Hall.
New foundations are being installed for a community garden shed at the Dyment Recreation Hall and complex. The project adds practical infrastructure for gardening, storage and recreation programming.
The improvements are supported by the Local Services Board of Melgund, the Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Grant program and the Nuclear Waste Management Foundation. The shed and related equipment will be installed beginning later this week, increasing capacity for community gardening, food security and land-based programs.
