Fall music jam brings community together in Melgund Township
Dyment Recreation Hall was full on September 12 as more than 80 people gathered for the community’s second annual Fall Arts Exhibition and Market. People came from across the region to see the exhibition, visit the market and take part in an afternoon of music and community.
The event showcased the work of artists and makers while creating a welcoming setting for people to meet, talk and spend time together. The hall provided space for both established and emerging creative work, with the market adding another way for visitors to engage directly with artists and makers.
Live music helped bring the afternoon together, giving the event the feel of a community gathering as much as an arts exhibition. Across the hall, people moved between the artwork, market tables, music and conversations.
