Weekly Unfinished Tales and Short Stories from our Dataset
This collection presents a distinct batch of narrative extractions, meticulously curated from the ‘Unfinished Tales and Short Stories’ project dataset. These segments represent specific creative outputs and experimental narrative constructs generated within our ongoing interdisciplinary arts and research program. Each entry contributes to a growing repository of diverse storytelling elements.
Such narrative data is instrumental in advancing the project’s dual objectives. For AI-Assisted Scriptwriting, these stories offer rich textual inputs for model training, evaluating plot coherence, character development, and genre consistency. Simultaneously, they serve as crucial case studies for Talent Development, facilitating the analysis of human-AI collaborative workflows and identifying skill requirements for creative professionals navigating emergent immersive technologies.

The subject categories further underscore the project’s focus on skills development and digital transformation within the arts. Knowledge Translation and Expository approaches are fundamental to disseminating artistic insights and research, illustrating how digital platforms enhance accessibility and pedagogical methods. Comedic Misadventure narratives often leverage digital tools to create new forms of engagement, requiring artists to develop adaptable storytelling and performance skills for diverse digital audiences. Psychological Thriller, as a subject, exemplifies the intricate skills involved in exploring human psychology through narratives that increasingly incorporate digital influences and media.
About the Project
The Unfinished Tales and Short Stories collection was an interdisciplinary arts and narrative storytelling experiment in 2025. It was part of a creative arts and participatory research project by The Arts Incubator Winnipeg and the Art Borups Corners collectives. It focuses on two key areas: AI-Assisted Storytelling and Scriptwriting, exploring AI tools for generating ideas, plot structures, and story arcs; and Talent Development and Training, studying digital skills, literacy and training needs for creative professionals by experimenting with AI and immersive technologies to inform future projects. Funding and support were generously provided by the Ontario Arts Council Multi and Inter-Arts Projects program and the Government of Ontario. We thank them for supporting the arts, digital transformation, and applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) research.
