Arts and Culture

Our Arts and Culture section highlights the creative work, community projects, and cultural activities taking place across Melgund Township and the surrounding Northwestern Ontario region. This includes local artists, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, seasonal programming, and collaborative initiatives that bring people together through making, sharing, and participation.

Terri Bell is a cornerstone of the Melgund Township creative scene, bringing a unique dual perspective to this year’s exhibition. A longtime crafter and veteran arts administrator, Terri has spent decades both creating art and championing the local artists who define our region. Her featured works at the Dyment Recreation Hall reflect this lifetime of technical mastery, blending traditional techniques with a quiet, profound understanding of the importance of community heritage.
