Established in 1997, Jack and Elaine Robinson began building the Dyment Museum in their backyard as a way to preserve and share the local history of the area. What started as a single museum has since grown into two buildings and a historic train caboose. The collection highlights not only Dyment’s history, but also includes artifacts and stories from Dinorwic, Wabigoon, and even Dryden.
Today, the museum is lovingly operated by Jack and Elaine’s daughter, Karen, along with her husband, Pat.
Admission is free, though donations are greatly appreciated.*
*The Dyment Museum is a privately owned institution and relies on donations to help preserve the buildings and the rich history they contain.
