Workshops, gardening and food production are bringing people together at Dyment Recreation Hall throughout the summer.

This year’s summer arts incubator continues to bring people together at the Dyment Recreation Hall, where the main hall and lower-level arts space have been active throughout the season. The program is delivered by local nonprofits Art Borups Corners and Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture with support from the Local Services Board of Melgund.

The program includes a mix of arts and crafts, community gardening and food production, along with regular hands-on workshops. This week, participants are working with sewing and painting.

The summer activities are also leading into the annual fall arts exhibition, which opens September 12 and continues through October 21, 2026. The exhibition will feature work produced by artists and participants involved in the program.

Activities take place every Monday and Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Dyment Recreation Hall. Everyone is welcome to drop in, take part in the workshops or simply spend some time in the arts space.
