Celebrate Family Day in Northwestern Ontario at Melgund Township’s Biggest Winter Gathering

Bundle up and join us Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:00–7:00 PM for a vibrant Family Day celebration in Melgund Township, hosted at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Recreation Complex by the Local Services Board of Melgund.

This free, family-friendly event brings together arts, music, food, and community in the heart of Northwestern Ontario. Enjoy an afternoon packed with activities for all ages, featuring live music, an open-mic session with the Birdfolk Buskers, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that celebrates local creativity and culture.

Roast hotdogs over an open fire, enjoy seasonal food, and learn about the exciting arts and culture projects launching in Melgund Township this year—from community arts initiatives to new music and creative programming. As the day winds down, gather with friends and neighbours for a stunning fireworks display to light up the winter sky.
