Located in the heart of Melgund Township in Northwestern Ontario, Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant, creative, and active community. Our leadership team brings together decades of experience in heritage preservation, economic development, and contemporary arts to serve the residents of our region.
Our Leadership Team
Karen Daignault | Chair Karen leads the board with a deep appreciation for regional history and preservation. As a long-time curator with the Dyment Museum, she brings invaluable expertise in cultural stewardship and community storytelling to her role as Chair.
Norm Eady | Vice-Chair Norm provides a vital link between community service and economic growth. In addition to serving as the Chair of the Dryden and District Chamber of Commerce, he is an active Board Member for the Local Services Board of Melgund, ensuring our initiatives align with the broader needs of the township.
Terri Bell | Secretary Terri is a cornerstone of local administration and the arts. She serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Services Board of Melgund and is a founding member of the Art Borups Corners collective. Her dual background in finance and the arts ensures our organization remains both organized and inspired.
Jamie Bell | Interim Executive Director A founding member of Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture, Jamie is an accomplished interdisciplinary artist. With a history of building creative communities, he co-founded The Arts Incubator Winnipeg and the Art Borups Corners art collectives. Jamie’s vision helps drive our mission to make the arts accessible to everyone in Northwestern Ontario.
