About This Year’s Art Show and Exhibition

Each year, our spring, summer and fall exhibitions rotate between Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. This year’s spring exhibition will be held in Dyment, Northwestern Ontario.

The Spring Arts Exhibition provides a platform for artists to share their vision, explore new ideas, and connect with the community. Visitors can experience diverse works, meet the artists, and participate in gallery events that celebrate creativity in a welcoming, inclusive environment. This exhibition reflects Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture’s commitment to supporting local talent and fostering cultural engagement.

As well, supported by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, The Arts Incubator Winnipeg and its Art Borups Corners land lab, this year’s exhibition serves as a critical forum for discussing the region’s most pressing issues: climate change, dignity and nuclear waste management. Using participatory media arts, they translate complex environmental data into human stories, making “serious” science accessible and engaging for the whole community.

This year’s Spring Arts Show and Exhibition takes place from April 17-May 17, 2026 at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Complex in Melgund Township, Northwestern Ontario. it’s a beautiful space and we look forward to welcoming local and regional visitors!
